I’m traveling from Vilnius to Milan with a suitcase full of beautiful dresses, makeup, high heels, and everything I need to create my image. So, I’m going to work as an image model in a nightclub. Not just anywhere, but in Italy! However, my modeling career will be different. I won’t have to walk the runway or showcase slim body lines. Instead, I’ll be paid to maintain an image at a nightclub, create a good atmosphere, interact with clients, display gorgeous clothes, and reveal my feminine charm. Initially, for a 19 year girl from a small town like me, this sounded like heaven on earth. I couldn’t believe I’d be paid for it. Since childhood, I never lacked attention from men - flowers, compliments - it made me happy. So, I never thought I’d dislike this job.

Unexpectedly, while browsing social media, I discovered a page offering image model job. Without hesitation, I wrote them a letter. And they replied - in Lithuanian! A Lithuanian manager sends girls abroad. It immediately gave me a sense of security, and I wasn’t mistaken. It turned out to be true. Safety is guaranteed. But internally, fear and hesitation held me back. Was it the unknown? Fear of leaving my comfort zone? From my experience, I can say I feared only one thing - myself. It was a huge challenge to overcome my own limitations, leave my family and friends, travel to a place where I knew no one, didn’t speak the Italian language, and had never been abroad. Fear pushed against me. But I conquered it. You know what? I’ve become an unstoppable force! I want to travel, live, and embrace the opportunities this job provides. And the best advantage of this work? Flexibility. You choose which city, country to work in and how long you want to work. Whether it’s just one month or a week, it’s entirely up to you. What experience has this job given me? The best part is learning to communicate with all kinds of people - from entrepreneurs to politicians and professionals. Your communication skills improve every day, meeting new people. You grow as an individual and refine foreign language skills.

What challenges have I faced being an image model? We all know that working in an all-female team involves more gossip, envy, and competition. It’s no surprise that new girls struggle with self-confidence and feel uncomfortable among experienced ladies who know the job inside out. My advice to new girls: Trust yourself. Shine. Also, you must have strong willpower because temptations and offers are abundant. Take care of your health, beauty, and personal growth. Alcohol is readily available in image models position, but it’s your choice whether to indulge. No one forces you, and no one ever will. Most importantly, stick to your morals and don’t compromise them. Now, you’re probably curious about the requirements for girls to become an image model. In general, the essential thing girls must possess is self-confidence, charisma, and femininity. A woman with elegant, modest manners who exudes self-assurance makes men lose their minds, promising a lucrative start to the job.

Upon arriving in Italy, I’m greeted by the driver, a talkative, short Italian man who eagerly offers to help carry my suitcases into the apartment where I’ll be staying for a month. The apartment is modern, not exactly luxurious, but I already feel like I’ll enjoy it here. In the evening, dressed in my most beautiful dress, I head downstairs, where all the girls are lined up, waiting for our driver. Arriving at work, I’m met with some envious glances that throw me off a bit, but without showing it, I continue on to meet the manager, bartenders, and other girls. At first, it seems like the girls don’t like me, but after a sincere conversation, they welcome me into the group. I feel safe, knowing there won’t be any drama or conflicts.

The work started at 9:00 p.m., and there weren’t any people. The first clients didn’t appear until midnight. The first was an older man, gray-haired, well-dressed, clearly well-off. Entering the club, he immediately walked toward me. Only one question came to my mind: how did he know about me, and why did he come straight to me? We sat at a table, and after ordering a drink, he offered me one too. Of course, I accepted, as my job is all about socializing. Without waiting long, he invited me to have dinner the next day at a fancy restaurant. After asking the bar if this was allowed, safe and if I could meet a client outside the club, they easily agreed and assured the safety. So the next day, dressed not for work but for dinner, I was met by the man with a luxurious Mercedes. I didn’t feel entirely comfortable, but he reassured me, telling me he had once dated a Lithuanian girl who had come to work here, just like me.

During dinner, he invited me to go with him to another city in Italy and spend a week there. I declined, saying I had come here to work and earn money, not travel, but he convinced me, saying I would be paid for it and that the club would be compensated too. After explaining everything to my boss, he reassured me that there was such an option as a girl being “bought out” from the club. This was a loyal club customer who had been a frequent visitor for years and was respected and loved by all the girls. It was something I’d never heard of; it sounded strange to “buy a girl out” of work, as if I were in some kind of captivity. But after considering the opportunities being offered and being assured that no intimacy would be required, I felt I was really lucky.

On the day of departure, I was nervous that something might happen since I didn’t know him well, but I told myself that I didn’t want to miss out on opportunities in life; I wanted to enjoy life! Also I talked with a manager and once again he assured that its safe and secure, that the client is well known old style Italian. I spent a week in a small Italian town called Padova, where only the best experiences awaited me. I simply enjoyed the good weather, high-quality restaurants, and luxurious champagne. And I absolutely didn’t have to do anything but keep him company. Returning to the club after a week of paid “vacation,” I felt truly special. I quickly charmed men with my confidence, my joy, and, most importantly, my good aura. They practically fell at my feet, competing for attention and trying to impress by buying bottles of luxurious champagne. This was a clear benefit for me, as my salary depended on champagne sales. There was no doubt that if you could just bat your beautiful eyes and say which champagne you liked and why, they’d unhesitatingly have it brought to the table.

For men, it’s incredibly important to feel significant, important, to show their strength, and if you can make them feel this way, you’re the perfect woman. Elevate a man’s gentlemanliness, and he will move mountains for you. So, ladies, especially in this line of work, sincerity and charm yield good results. After working a summer in Italy, I realized that it’s possible to earn money, have fun, and travel. Without waiting, I told my agent that I’d like to try working in another country, and I immediately received an offer to go to the neighboring country - Switzerland! And that’s where my best years began…
